Managers in medicine inpatient units can now fill an entry level nursing position in four days, rather than the previous eight.

New work standards have enabled Human Resources to publish a job posting 87 per cent faster (now 39 min.); improved communication between HR and unit managers; and ensure expectations are clear between new hires and managers.

Reduction in overtime costs due to gaps in filling jobs are expected to be significant.
