Temporary Changes to Wolseley and Grenfell Health Care Services beginning Sept. 1, 2017
Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region is committed to maintaining access to safe, quality health care services for residents of Grenfell and Wolseley during a temporary physician service disruption beginning September 1, 2017. Recruitment efforts to secure replacement physician services are underway and RQHR remains dedicated to restoring access to all usual health care services offered in these communities. Broadview services are no longer anticipated to be affected by this disruption.
Residents should be aware of the following changes to health care services, which will be in place beginning September 1, 2017:
- Acute Care and Emergency services will continue to be available at Broadview Hospital and Indian Head Hospital.
- Lab services will continue to be available Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Grenfell Health Centre and Wolseley Hospital.
- In order to ensure
provisionof safe, quality patient care, Wolseley Hospital will provide scheduled nursing treatments only and no walk-in outpatient services. Beds will be used for Alternate Level of Care clients. These clients are those approved and waiting for Long Term Care, convalescent care, respite or palliative care.
- Grenfell Health Centre staff will provide scheduled treatments such as dressing changes and IV therapy. Walk-in outpatient services will not be available.
