Ms. Maha Kumaran is a Saskatchewan Health Information Resources Partnership (SHIRP) librarian at the University of Saskatchewan. Ms. Kumaran and Ms. Mary Chipanshi from the University of Regina received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council to conduct research on identifying barriers and challenges that internationally-educated registered nurses in Saskatchewan may face in finding and using library sources. This research should provide data that can be used to develop and implement library orientation programs and workshops for nurses and assist librarians in building tools, such as subject guides and web portals that are user-friendly.
