Dr. Paul Kuwornu received his PhD in Community Health Sciences from the University of Manitoba. He also holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from the University of Twente, Netherlands and a Bachelor of Arts (First-Class Honours) in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Dr. Kuwornu is a Predictive Analytics Research Scientist at the Research and Evidence-Based Excellence Branch of Government of Saskatchewan. Dr. Kuwornu has extensive experience in conducting health services and outcomes research using population-based administrative health databases housed in data repositories of organizations, such as Saskatchewan Health Quality Council, Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, and Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences. He has developed innovative methods to estimate patient-level healthcare costs and track patient care pathways through the healthcare system. Dr. Kuwornu is a recipient of several awards, including Research Manitoba Graduate Studentship and Western Regional Training Centre in Health Services Research Fellowship.
