Dr. Gary Teare

External Research Associate Health Quality Council Key Interests: Case-mix classification, clinical practice guidelines, funding, healthcare performance, knowledge translation, long-term care, measurement, organizational learning, and rehabilitation (elderly).

Dr. Gary Teare is the current Director of Quality Measurement & Analysis for the Health Quality Council of Saskatchewan and Adjunct Professor of Community Health and Epidemiology, College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Teare completed his Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Guelph in 1998. He was an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto from 2000-2005. During this time, he also worked with the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences. Dr. Teare has received numerous research grants from CIHR, Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation, Royal University Hospital Foundation, and the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation and published over 20 papers in areas of complex continuing care and patient experience.
