Antibiograms
Home / Clinical Support / Laboratory Services / Antibiograms
Antibiograms are summaries of local antimicrobial resistance based on bacterial isolates identified in diagnostic patient specimens.
They can provide guidance when choosing empiric antibiotic therapy, and can be used to track emerging trends of resistance in a community. Proper application of antibiogram information helps promote Antimicrobial Stewardship, can prevent the development of antibiotic resistance, and maximizes patient outcomes.
Please note as of February 2020 the Antibiogram information is now being housed on the Sask Health Authority Library website.
