Do I need any special training, courses, etc. in order to apply for the position of Communications Specialist?
Although there is no legislated requirement to have completed a recognized Emergency Telecommunication’s course or Emergency Medical Dispatch Course through the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch, it would be considered a valuable asset. Training and certification are completed once you have successfully completed the recruitment process.
When will the next hiring take place?
There are no set hiring periods. Staffing increases are determined on an “as required” basis. However, résumés with cover letters are always accepted and placed on file for future consideration.
