SCM Computerized Provider Order Management (CPOM) - February 2018

28-Feb-2018

Regina and Saskatoon will begin transitioning existing PPOs into provincial standardized order sets. Watch for communication from your representative for feedback on the new order sets.

The Computerized Provider Order Management (CPOM) project continues to move forward and initial meetings were held by physician representatives from the departments of Anesthesia, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Critical Care in both Regina and Saskatoon to begin the process of transitioning our existing PPOs into provincial standardized order sets. More departments and divisions will be engaged in this process in the coming months. Watch for communication from your representative for feedback on the new order sets.

The inaugural meeting of the Clinical Informatics Leads from both Regina and Saskatoon who make up the Physician Advisory Group related to this project occurred on February 6, 2018. There was excellent attendance, participation, and questions from both sites. The engagement displayed was encouraging and many useful items were taken away for consideration in project planning and development.

We have jointly developed the model of Clinical Informatics Leads with Saskatoon. These are physician representatives from each Department/Division/Section who are your contact point for this and other projects with IT. If you do not know who your representative is, please contact your Department/Division/Section head to find out. If your area does not have a Lead yet, please consider putting your name forward if you would like to be involved!
