RQHR and College of Medicine Partner for Growth

On June 7, 2017, the RQHR and College of Medicine formalized our long-standing partnership to support medical education with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding related to our Affiliation Agreement. With this formal agreement, the College of Medicine and RQRHA are deepening their partnership to support the Regina campus of the College of Medicine. This will also support work to align the College of Medicine with the new Provincial Health Authority. We were pleased with the amount of media coverage that was received on our announcement.

Also on June 7, 2017, the Liaison Committee, comprised of members from RQHR and College of Medicine, held its first meeting.  The conversation focused on establishing the terms of reference and operational components related to the workings of this Committee, including the intention to set up three working groups (Physician Resource Planning, Research, and Operations).  The Liaison Committee will also be reviewing the performance metrics, related to the Campus, that will help the parties assess success and areas for development.  More work on the metrics is anticipated to be brought back to their next Liaison Committee meeting anticipated for October 2017.
