RQHR Advanced Trauma Life Support Course

06-Dec-2016

The RQHR ATLS program held their third Advanced Trauma Life Support Course at Regina General Hospital.

After receiving approval from the American College of Surgeons (Chicago), the Trauma program, in collaboration with the Clinical Quality and Professional Practice, have run three courses, thus far, with a median of 16 physician participants per course. It is anticipated that the program will run 5-6 courses per year. The courses have taken place in the Dilawri Simulation Centre and auditors have included EMS, STARS, and nursing staff. Great collaboration between physicians and allied staff of the RQHR, as well as training for future trauma care providers.
