Physician Lead for 3D Accountable Care Unit (ACU) Implementation

21-Jun-2017

Applications are invited from General Internal Medicine physicians for the position of physician lead for Unit 3D Accountable Care Unit.

The current plan, which is subject to Ministry funding approval, is that 3D will join 4A, 4B, and MSU as an Accountable Care Unit.  As the primary service on 3D is General Internal Medicine, applicants must be eligible to be members of the Section of General Internal Medicine at RQHR.

The physician lead will be rostered to provide the bulk of his or her inpatient service on 3D and will lead a small team of physicians who will be tasked with the implementation of the ACU model.

Apart from demonstrated clinical leadership, the selected individual must be prepared to lead his or her colleagues through the practice changes and with his or her co-lead to lead the unit to excellence in quality, flow, and sustainability of the program.

Remuneration for the clinical practice is under review and there will be an additional stipend for the leadership role.

Interested applicants can send their CV’s to Kimberly Merk in Practitioner Staff Affairs at kimberly.merk@rqheath.ca.
