Pediatric Audiology Services Now at Children’s Program – Public Service Announcement

26-Jul-2017

The Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (RQHR) is committed to providing patient and family-centred care to ensure even our youngest clients and their families receive the best possible healthcare experience. The RQHR Children’s Program at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre is pleased to announce the addition of Pediatric Audiology Services.

Two Pediatric Audiologists have joined the Children’s Program team and will deliver hearing services for children.  Services will include hearing evaluations, hearing aids and fitting, accessories, repairs, counseling and education.  Currently, parents are responsible to pay a fee of [$31.50] for a children’s audiology exam every four years. This covers all visits related to hearing testing (e.g., first test, follow-up tests).

The needs of our patients are the centre of our decision making. Hearing aid sales and services will be offered publicly for children while the Ministry of Health works to ensure the private sector can provide appropriate access and services to address the hearing aid needs of children.
