Choosing Wisely Conference 2018 - June 2 & 3, 2018

Saskatoon Inn & Conference Centre, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

The conference will focus on CWC (Choosing Wisely Canada) elements, as they relate to in-hospital care and where appropriate, elements of preoperative care, diagnostic imaging and lab tests, as well as appropriate medications (including antibiotics). Models of care that are linked to superior and safer patient outcomes, as well physician wellness and resiliency in those models of care.

Practicing Wisely Course - June 4, 2018

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Reducing Unnecessary Testing and Treatment is a Mainpro+ certified Continuing Professional Development program. This initiative of the Ontario College of Family Physicians aligns closely with the Choosing Wisely Canada (CWC) campaign to implement good healthcare stewardship and avoid over-medicalization. This hands-on, interactive program is comprised of four modules, each with a different area of focus. Participants will identify opportunities on how to "practise wisely", with a focus on reducing over-prescribing, over-imaging, over-screening and over-monitoring using the latest evidence and tools from diverse.
