The College of Medicine welcomes new staff and says farewell to a long-time employee.

Lisa Persaud – Student Affairs
The College of Medicine is happy to announce that Lisa Persaud has joined the Regina Campus as Specialist, Student Affairs.  Her primary role is to be the point of contact and advocate for our undergraduate medical students related to their academic and personal health needs.  Her office is located in the College of Medicine offices (1B13.01) in the Regina General Hospital.

Lisa is trained as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and in that capacity worked in Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (RQHR) for approximately six years.  During this time, she was the primary preceptor of all American-trained SLP students completing their clinical placements in Regina.  Most recently, she has been working with as a Patient Safety Specialist within RQHR where she has gained extensive experience collaborating with many parties (within and outside of the RQHR) and has worked extensively with physicians and senior leaders in the organization, all with a goal to address patient safety incidents and then review opportunities for improvement.

Lisa will be working directly with our Regina-based Student Affairs team – Drs. Nicole Fahlman and Tiann O’Carroll – to help students on the Regina Campus.  Lisa will also be collaborating with her counterparts in Saskatoon and all other team members on the Regina Campus.

Yvonne Bloos - Retirement
