Client/Patient Information: Coming to the Hospital

Arriving at the hospital:
For scheduled visits to the Regina General Hospital, please use either the 14th Avenue or 15th Avenue entrance.

For scheduled visits to the Pasqua Hospital, please use the main entrance off of Dewdney Avenue.

The Emergency Entrances at both hospitals are for emergency patients only.

When you arrive at the hospital you may be required to report to the Registration/Admission Area (formerly called Admitting).

Registration/Admission staff will ask you for:

• your name and address
• your Saskatchewan Health Card; Other insurance, eg. GMS, MSI.
• other information, eg. attending physician, clinic or program you will be reporting to.

Information is entered into the Hospital Information System.

Many of today's health care services provided in the hospitals are on an outpatient basis. As an outpatient, your services are scheduled to take place on one day - no overnight stay is required.

As an inpatient, you will be admitted to hospital for one or more nights for treatment. Inpatients may request private or semi-private rooms. There is a fee for the rooms if they are requested and available. The fee for a private room is $90.00 a night and for a semi-private room is $70.00 a night.
