GI/Endoscopy Units

The Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region’s Gastrointestinal (GI) and Endoscopy Units provide specialized Gastroenterology and Endoscopy services to all Saskatchewan residents. All tests and procedures are ordered by family physicians or specialists.

There are two sites: the GI Unit is located in the Pasqua Hospital and the Endoscopy Unit is located in the Regina General Hospital.

Both units provide extensive endoscopic services as well as several diagnostic procedures and treatment. Between the two sites there are approximately 30,000 tests, procedures and treatments done annually.

Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Operating Room Technicians, Office Assistants and Unit Support Clerks staff the units.

Gastroenterologists, Respirologists, Surgeons and Urologists use the specialized equipment in the units to provide the latest in treatments and procedures.

Patient Information

You will receive instructions about your procedure from your physician.

Come prepared to stay for two to six hours. Please have a responsible person available to take you home.
