Communicable Disease Control
Population and Public Health Services is responsible for limiting the spread of communicable diseases in the community. Staff investigate diseases such as measles and whooping cough. In Regina call 766-7790. In Balcarres, Fort Qu'Appelle, Kelliher and Lemberg call 332-3300.

Influenza Pandemic
An influenza pandemic is a world-wide outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a virus. It occurs when the virus changes dramatically, when there is no natural immunity within the population and no vaccine immediately available to curb the spread of the disease.

Sexual Health Clinic (formerly STD Clinic)
You can help protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases through safer sex. Confidential information, counselling, testing and treatment are available at the Sexual Health Clinic at 2110 Hamilton St. Call 766-7788.

Street Project and Needle Exchange Program
The Street Project van is on Regina streets Monday to Friday evenings. The program helps prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C, and other blood borne and sexually transmitted diseases. There is counselling for sex trade workers and street youth, and a Needle Exchange program for injection drug users and condom distribution. Needle exchange services are also available at Carmichael Outreach (1925 Osler Street) and through the STD clinic at 2110 Hamilton Street. Call 766-7799.
