Long Term Care Services: Supportive Living Unit The program is designed to assist individuals with long term psychiatric illness, who do not require intensive physical care support but do require a supportive residential living environment. The Region offers supportive living services in one special care home with a thirteen bed unit. The unit fosters social and rehabilitative care through residential living. Eligibility is based on program guidelines and access is coordinated by admissions in consultation with the Behaviour Management Consultant and the Regina Mental Health Clinic. Costs are the same as other resident fees in a special care home. Costs not covered by the accommodation fee include: transportation, clothing, personal grooming items, medications and medical supplies, incontinence supplies, supplies for oxygen therapy, mobility aids, dental, vision, and prosthetic devices, ID bracelets and costs for marking personal belongings, and telephone and cable services.
