System Sustainability news: Parking rate increase and an update on medical imaging

02-Aug-2016

Staff/physician parking rate increase – effective September 1, 2016

In response to rising costs and maintaining rates with the current market value, RQHR staff and physician parking rates will be increasing by 10% effective September 1st, 2016. RQHR staff increases will be seen on the September 23rd, 2016 pay date.

Parking rates have not been increased since May of 2014. Rising infrastructure and maintenance costs have impacted the value of parking rates city wide. Audits are routinely conducted to ensure RQHR parking rates are comparable with those of other parking services throughout the city. The RQHR on average maintains rates considerably lower than our comparators.

There will be no rate increase for the RQHR staff Park & Ride or to visitor parking rates.

Parking revenues collected by the RQHR are used by the Region for many different programs within the Region.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns please do not hesitate to contact Parking Services.
