The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region (RQHR) understands that your health information is a very personal and private matter.

The RQHR is committed to respecting and ensuring the privacy, security and confidentiality of personal health information, consistent with legal requirements, guidance and direction from government and professional bodies.

Personal health information is collected by the RQHR so that you can be provided with the health care services you need or request.

Your personal health information is shared, as necessary, within your circle of care health team on a need to know basis to ensure you get the services and the programs you need or ask for. Your circle of care health team includes your doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, to name a few. Regardless of who is involved in your care, each team member has a responsibility to protect your privacy and to keep your personal health information confidential and secure.

The RQHR will not collect, use or share your personal health information for any other purpose unless we have your consent or unless the RQHR is otherwise authorized or required by law.

All RQHR staff must comply with policies and procedures that are designed to protect the integrity, security, and confidentiality of your personal health information.
