Document Delivery

Document delivery and Interlibrary borrowing is a service provided by the Health Sciences Library. Through interlibrary cooperation we are able to obtain the materials you need that are not in our library. This service is based on national and international borrowing conventions and is dependent upon the good will of cooperating libraries and on the cooperation of library users.

Items located locally can usually be obtained in 2-3 days. Other materials may take 7-10 days. The library absorbs the costs of the loans, which can range from $2.50-$15.00/item, for work related requests.

Replacement costs for lost or damaged items and overdue fines are the responsibility of the borrower.

Circulation

RQHR staff and physicians have borrowing privileges and must register with the library.

Loan periods: All loans are subject to recall.
  • 2 weeks unless otherwise indicated.
  • Current issues of journals do not circulate
  • Loans may be renewed.

Fines will not be levied but after 2 overdue notices, borrowers will be invoiced for items not returned.
