Four Directions Community Health Centre: Other Programs and Services

Some services at the Centre are not part of any specific program. These include:

  • “Living in Balance” – a healthy life skills program that teachers a variety of fun tips for healthy eating, physical activity, and enjoying a healthy lifestyle. Sessions are provided once a week, on a drop-in basis and include a “hands-on” cooking circle and fun activities. For more information about this program, click here.
  • “Food Security Facilitation” – these programs help make accessing healthy food a little bit easier. Both can be picked up at the Centre.
    • “Good Food Box” – Four Directions will take payment of your pre-ordered selection of fresh fruits and vegetables one week and you can pick the box up at Four Directions the next week. For a little bit extra money, you can add extra vegetables or fruit or a pantry pack.
    • "Family Basket” – a large selection of fruits and vegetables and a pantry pack can be delivered twice a month to your home OR if it is picked up a Four Directions, you can receive a bonus of milk and hamburger. Applications are available at Four Directions but arrangements are made between REACH and your social worker.
