Job Description
Assists clients and special needs individuals to meet their needs through activities of daily living, inclusive of physical, spiritual and emotional needs. Helps these individuals maintain as much independence as possible in a safe environment.

Qualifications
Grade 10. One (1) year Home Care/Special Care Aide course (827 hours) is required. This education can be obtained at SIAST (see www.siast.sk.ca for more information about this certificate).

No previous experience required. Nine (9) months on the job to apply care plan to a range of clients and become familiar with region/facility/department policies and procedures.
