We are grateful that you are interested in donating items for the patients and families who use the services of Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region.

Items are always needed for children to use while they are hospitalized or receiving treatment. We ask that ALL donations are brand new. We do not accept used or gently used items, this is to ensure that they meet current safety standards and are germ free.

Here are the kinds of items we gladly accept:

Infants:

  • Rattles
  • Musical toys
  • Blankets
  • Socks
  • Soother clips
  • Teething toys

Toddlers and Preschoolers:

  • Building blocks
  • "Little People" toys
  • Crayola crayons
  • Colouring books
  • Wooden shape puzzles
  • Magnadoodles
  • Ineractive toys, such as those that light up or make sounds when touched.

School Age Children:

  • Board games such as Candy Land, Guess Who, Snakes and Ladders, Connect Four and Sorry
  • Decks of playing cards such as Go Fish, Skip-Bo, Old Maid, and UNO
  • Look and Find or I Spy Books
  • Markers and pencil crayons
  • Canvases for painting
  • Acrylic paints
  • Wooden crafts to paint, ex. Birdhouses, treasure boxes, etc.
  • Play-doh
  • Magazines appropriate for children, such as ChickaDEE
  • Nintendo DS games that are rated "E" for everyone; please no violent games
  • Journals and pens
  • Lego kits
  • Puzzles under 100 pieces
  • Model and craft kits.

Teenagers:

  • CDs
  • Art supplies such as sketch books, pastels and more advanced craft kits
  • Adult colouring books
  • Crossword and word search books
  • Deck of cards
  • Teen magazines (Teen, National Geographic for Kids, etc.)
  • Archie and Marvel comic
  • Packaged sports cards
  • iTunes cards
  • Nail polish
  • Spa face masks
  • Slippers
  • Hand Lotion

  • Liquid bubble solution
  • Stickers
  • Pencils
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Lipsmackers lip balm
  • $5 - $20 gift cards (Dollarama, Wal-Mart, Chapters)
