Regina Palliative Care Incorporated (RPCI)

Regina Palliative Care Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. RPCI works closely with Palliative Care Services in the province and other partners to support and enhance palliative care and bereavement programs for Saskatchewan families. The achievements of RPCI are a result of donations, community partners and generous volunteer community support.

What does RPCI do?

  • Funds raised through this organization support education and training for medical professionals to enhance palliative medicine in our health system, critical equipment that improves efficiency and quality of patient care, comfort furnishings for families of palliative patients and the delivery of counselling for individuals and families who have experienced any type of death loss.

Butterfly Memory Mural

Some families choose to make gifts to RPCI in memory of their loved one or to designate RPCI as a charity of choice by asking friends and family to contribute as well.

When memorial contributions exceed $300 the family will have the option of placing an engraved brass butterfly in memory of their loved one on a butterfly memory mural located on the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. The family will be notified when memorial contributions exceed $300 and will have the option of determining the wording of the engraving. For more information regarding this option or donations please phone 306-523-2780.

The Bereavement Centre

RPCI strives to bring excellence in counselling, education and programming.  To do this, we stay ahead of the curve and prepare ourselves to be at the forefront of our client’s needs.  Our highly trained and accredited bereavement counsellor provides one-on-one counselling in areas of grief, trauma, traumatic loss, anticipated and unanticipated loss, and missing persons.

Group counselling provides support to adults, older adults, children and teens in areas of trauma, traumatic loss, homicide and suicide.  In addition, we also offer yoga for grief – an added component of support that allows our clients to utilize yoga as a form of self-care, helping them to process grief and recharge their emotional batteries.
