City of Regina

Within the Regina City limits all plumbing permits and inspections must be requested through the City of Regina, click here for more information.

Rural Areas

In areas outside the City of Regina Boundaries either Public Health or the local municipality will issue the plumbing permits. Click here for a list of Municipalities that issue their own permits. If you are located in an area that does not issue their own permits, fill in the Rural Plumbing Application Form (below) and submit to environmentalhealth@rqhealth.ca.

Please Note: in Urban Municipalities, commercial/multi-dwelling building and for properties connected to a communal water and/or sewer system only a journeyman plumber can apply for a permit.

For Commercial and Residential buildings, other than single family dwellings or duplexes, The Plumbing Regulations required that plans be submitted for review prior to the commencement of work.

Once application, and plans if required, have been submitted and reviewed work may commence on the proposed plumbing system. Upon completion of the work contact your Local Public Health Inspector to arrange for an inspection. Please note: We require at least two business days notice to schedule a plumbing inspection.
