Volunteers

Volunteers carry out a variety of volunteer duties and functions within the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region to help ensure that we have a healthy community.

The Region recruits, screens, and provides orientation and volunteer-related education for hundreds of volunteers. Volunteer opportunities abound throughout the Region, in a variety of facilities and programs.

Benefits to Volunteers
Volunteering within the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region provides volunteers with opportunities to contribute to the care provided to clients in acute care, long-term care, and rehabilitative care. Volunteers also benefit directly by becoming more aware of the special needs of persons receiving care within the Region. By helping out, volunteers pick up practical experience while at the same time enhancing the lives of those in need.

Volunteer Positions and Schedules
All volunteer positions are safe and satisfying to those involved. All volunteer positions are supplemental to staff positions.

Volunteer schedules may be designed for any day of the week-- in the morning, afternoon or evening.
