Volunteer Services: Process for Becoming a Volunteer

Applicants interested in becoming a registered Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region volunteer are required to submit:

  1. Completed Application Form

  2. Completed Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check, from your local police Department

  3. Confidential Reference Form, please provide a copy of this form to 2 of your references listed on your application form.

Once the office has received all of your application information, you will be contacted for a screening interview. The screening interview includes:
  1. Interview Questions
  2. Application/Availability Review
  3. Guidelines/Orientation Manual Review
  4. Confidentiality Agreement Review and Form Completed
  5. Program Overview/Applicant's Questions
  6. Further Process Information - Follow-Up Procedures
  7. Photo Taken for ID Purposes
  8. If you faxed your criminal record check, you must bring the original to your interview. It will be returned to you at the end of your interview.
The interviewer from the Department of Volunteer Services or Department of Spiritual Care will determine your suitability for volunteering within our programs. If approved, you will receive:
  1. Orientation to Specific Duties
  2. Site Orientation
  3. Other Education as required
